The Concept: A CSR Logistics Competition

Logistics players are therefore faced with these environmental, social and economic challenges. They need to respond to these societal issues by proposing specific strategies and initiatives, and thus integrate CSR as a performance factor.

With this in mind, Supply Chain Village, DG Consultants (organizer of TOP LOGISTICS Europe) and SprintProject are co-organizing the CSR Prize, as part of the TOP LOGISTICS event to be held in Saint-Malo on June 19 and 20, 2024.

The primary aim is to reward companies operating in the logistics sector who have implemented an exemplary CSR strategy through an achievement, a product or a service (implemented in less than 2 years).

The ceremony will take place on June 19, starting at 7:00 pm, during a prestigious evening event to be held at Top Logistics Europe in Saint Malo.

The 2023 Winners

  • FM Logistics, winner of the 2023 CSR Award

    LOGISTICS SERVICE PROVIDER CATEGORY

FM Logistic launched its first CSR strategy in 2018, with targets to 2022. Already, this strategy highlighted the Group's desire to take care of people and change its environmental footprint, through the co-construction of sustainable supply chains with its customers, with the conviction that, in our logistics industry in particular, we cannot act alone. In 5 years, this strategy has enabled us to carry out a number of projects with a direct impact on our activities. For example, with regard to ergonomics, we have structured a comprehensive approach: precise measurements, integrating the human factor into the design of our activities, and tools to reduce day-to-day day-to-day hardship. We have also supported the eco-design of our platforms and optimising energy management so that we can operate logistics sites with very low energy consumption. Lastly, these impacts are communicated transparently to all our customers, who all have access to a personalised dashboard of their energy consumption, access to a personalised dashboard of the environmental and social impacts of their logistics. FM Logistic strongly believes that sustainable development in logistics can only exist by addressing both social and environmental aspects, one feeding into the other. This is reflected in our slogan Supply change and in our new Sustainable Development strategy 2023-2030: Supply changers for people, planet and profitable business.

  • Groupe Rocher, winner of the 2023 CSR Award

    INDUSTRIAL CATEGORY

Groupe Rocher Opérations' CSR strategy is in line with the company's mission to “Reconnect men and women with nature”. This strategy is structured around 4 axes: Developing products that respect nature, Promoting frugal innovation and acting in favour of biodiversity to protect living things, Collaborating with our stakeholders to engage them in our mission, Supporting our employees as players in the mission. More concretely, this means integrating environmental impact into the design of our products by working on formulation and packaging, and also in the manufacturing and distribution process (reducing water consumption, reducing energy consumption in factories and warehouses). We are also committed to a highly innovative low-carbon strategy, from our factories right through to delivery to our customers. These improvements are made in collaboration with our partners (suppliers of raw materials, packaging items, energy suppliers and transporters in particular). The originality of the approach also lies in the fact that it includes players from the local ecosystem (farmers in particular). The success of its deployment depends on the commitment of our employees, who are the driving force behind the change, and whose working conditions we strive to improve.

  • Recyclivre, winner of the 2023 CSR Award

    COUP DE COEUR CATEGORY

Since its launch in 2008, Recyclivre's aim has been to maximise the impact of our activity on the planet and on people. Every year, our activity enables us to collect over 3 million books, more than half of which are put back into circulation, thus avoiding destruction.

To this end, we have set up a number of initiatives:

    - E-commerce logistics carried out in partnership with Log'ins (Ares Group), an adapted company specialising in professional reintegration. 100% of the employees working on our logistics site (excluding the management team) are disabled workers who are far from employment and who are taken on for a period of 6 to 18 months, enabling them to readapt to the world of work through training in the logistics profession.

    - Our home deliveries are made using a fleet of electric vehicles.

    - 1% of our turnover is donated to associations through the 1% for the planet scheme.

    - In 2021, in partnership with Pocheco, we will be developing a biosourced envelope for our packaging that meets the highest environmental standards. POCHECO is the 1st SME to hold quadruple QSEE certification under the new standards.

The composition of our pouch : Brown kraft paper from sustainably managed forests and controlled sources, PEFCTM certified. Ink: based on natural pigments: zero chemicals and zero pollutants. Water: rainwater 98% biodegradable and 100% recyclable For every 1 tree cut down, 10 trees are replanted according to local biodiversity.

    - Our organisation is based on the free enterprise model. This model encourages employee autonomy and responsibility. Managers are leaders elected by their peers, whose role is to provide employees with the resources they need to carry out their tasks.

    - Sharing value is a core value at Recyclivre. A profit-sharing scheme has been set up (not compulsory for companies of our size) and 20% of the company is held by employees in the form of BSPCEs.
